Experienced Alumni Reunion
Friday, March 28, 2008

McCombs MBA alumni who earned their degree before 1995 had a vastly different MBA experience than more recent graduates. Prior to 1995, the cohort system had not yet been established, and the program
had a more flexible structure (students were not required to finish within two years). As a result, the sense of community that is an integral part of the MBA program today did not exist during that time. Despite these program differences, McCombs aims to embrace all of its graduates. The Experienced Alumni Reunion was created to provide an opportunity for alumni who graduated prior to 1995 to reconnect with each other and the McCombs School.

The inaugural Experienced Alumni Reunion will be held the evening of Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Intercontinental Stephen F. Austin Hotel. It will include a cocktail reception, followed by dinner at tables arranged by MBA class years. Alumni who graduated as early as 1952 have helped reconnect classmates and are continuing to reach out to others to encourage them to attend this new event.

The Experienced Alumni Reunion is held in conjunction with the annual business conference, which is an additional opportunity to experience McCombs, learn from the latest faculty research and visit the university campus. Conference attendance is not required to attend the reunion.
