McCOMBS MBA ALUMNI NETWORK COMMITTEES

MMA Network Advisory Board Committees were formed to provide increased
programs and services for both alumni and students. Participation from
all alumni is welcome. Take advantage of this great way to get involved

ALUMNI GIVING COMMITTEE
Chair: John McCollum, MBA ’97Mission: To promote alumni participation in the Annual Giving Campaign, the MBA Alumni Endowed Excellence Fund (MAEEF) and additional McCombs School initiatives.
Current Projects: Organizing class representatives to assist with the Annual Giving Campaign; participating in selection of MAEEF award recipients.
ALUMNI RECOGNITION COMMITTEE
Chair: David Naismith, MBA ’99Mission: To acknowledge the achievements and service of MBA alumni.
Current Projects: Soliciting nominations for the Rising Star Award and the Outstanding Chapter Event Award, selecting award recipients and working with student leaders to ensure a successful 2008 MBA Alumni Awards Celebration; developing a chapter president recognition plan.
CHAPTER PRESIDENTS COMMITTEE
Chair: Marissa Henderson Jarratt, MBA ’04Mission: To share best practices with fellow chapter presidents to ensure the overall success of the MMA Network chapters.
Current Projects: Planning and hosting chapter receptions and the Faculty Speaker Series.
EXPERIENCED ALUMNI
(PRE-1995 GRADUATES) COMMITTEEChair: Eddy Trevino, MBA ’85
Mission: To develop a sense of community and connection between MBA alumni who graduated prior to the 1995 implementation of the cohort system.
Current Project: Planning and promoting the 2008 Experienced Alumni Reunion to be held in conjunction with the MBA Alumni Business Conference.
GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE
Chair: Tom Stephenson, MBA ’95Mission: To strengthen the MMA Network advisory board by ensuring the structure coincides with the board’s strategic goals.
Current Projects: Implementing a new board structure, finalizing charter changes and initiating new board members.
MENTORSHIP COMMITTEE
Chair: Suzanne Brown, MBA ’04Mission: To bring McCombs MBA alumni together with current MBA students to offer guidance about a particular industry, region or company of interest.
Current Project: Launching the 2007-08 Mentorship Program (http://mba.mccombs.utexas.edu/mma/involve/mentor.asp).
