Housing

This cost of living figure was provided by The MBA Program Office and and may not correspond exactly to the cost of living in Austin. These figures, unlike general cost of living figures for Austin, are specifically tailored to represent the cost of the standard of living generally pursued by our MBA students. Your lifestyle and family status affect your individual MBA Program costs.

Students are expected to find their own lodging. On-campus housing is difficult to obtain and the MBA students live off-campus in apartments (or occasionally in private dormitories near campus). Here are some "estimates" that might help students plan:

Sharing a 2-bedroom apartment $350-$575/month per person
Private "efficiency" apartment $475/month
Private one-bedroom apartment $550-750/month
Private two-bedroom apartment $700-1150/month

Other Costs of Living

Again, these are "estimates" to help students prepare their finances. Actual costs may vary.

Utilities (phone, gas, electricity) $80 – 150/month per person
Food $180-280/month per person
Miscellaneous $3,000-$4,000 for the year
