"Changing the Face of Leadership”
In the Classroom, the Community and the Workplace
The McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at
Austin is committed to providing a diverse, balanced, real-world
business education. Through the Explore McCombs event, qualified
students will be given the opportunity to connect with members of
the McCombs community, including current students, alumni, faculty,
staff and other applicants, as they learn the vital skills essential
to navigating the MBA application process.
The 6th Annual Explore McCombs weekend will be held November
15-17, 2007. Activities to include... MBA information
sessions, tours, class visits, faculty panels, workshops, a case
discussion, MBA student and alumni panels, informal socials, and
other networking opportunities.
While Explore McCombs is open to everyone, African American,
Hispanic American, and Native American students are especially
encouraged to attend.

The application for Explore McCombs 2007 is now available. Click
here to apply. To receive an email notification when the
application process opens, please send an email to
diversity@mccombs.utexas.edu. The application deadline is Monday,
October 29, 2007. An applications committee will review
your application and will extend a formal invitation within one
week.
The weekend consists of formal and informal events designed to
introduce you to the McCombs community. We will be updating the
schedule of events regularly, so check back with us periodically.

The 2007 Schedule of Events will be posted soon! If you are arranging travel, please plan to be in Austin Thursday, November 15th through Saturday, November 17th. Class visits, tours and interviews will be conducted on Thursday, with the majority of the programming to be held, Thursday evening, all day Friday and Saturday morning. You may refer to the 2006 Schedule of Events below for an estimated agenda. However, the schedule may change for the 2007 event. You are encouraged to make your travel arrangements AFTER you have received your formal invitation to attend.

Explore McCombs marked my first visit to Austin and The McCombs School of Business. This weekend event was my chance to determine whether McCombs was the right fit for me. Explore McCombs completely exceeded my expectations of the school. Walking through the halls, visiting a class and meeting with students and faculty enabled me to fully grasp the McCombs collaborative and friendly environment.
