Graduate Women in Business
The
Graduate
Women in Business (GWIB) student organization strives to provide an
atmosphere conducive to the professional and personal development of its
members. Membership is open to all women enrolled in the full-time MBA program.
Each year GWIB hosts events designed to encourage professional development,
networking/social events and the annual
Women in Business Leadership Conference. GWIB goals include the following:
- to improve the visibility of women in the McCombs School of Business;
- to offer career development resources to our members;
- to provide opportunities for members to enhance the skills they need to remain competitive in the marketplace (i.e. networking, golf skills);
- to be an informational resource for prospective McCombs students;
- to assist organizations serving women and girls in the Austin community;
- to connect members to articles and news stories that are related to women's issues in the workplace;
- to promote a spirit of camaraderie among members and women in the business community in a variety of social settings and events.
