The McCombs community is comprised of strong and active women working to advance their education, build solid leadership skills and open themselves to new opportunities in the world of business. From a rich culture of outstanding female faculty and alumni to notable women professionals who speak on campus each year, Texas MBA women are mentored by those who have proven to make a difference in society. From the moment you begin your experience in the program, McCombs offers support through our membership with the Forté Foundation, as well as various women’s events and organizations such as the Graduate Women in Business (GWIB). These opportunities allow McCombs women to make outstanding contributions within and beyond the Texas MBA program.

Unlock Your Potential:  An Exploration of the Texas MBA

The Unlock Your Potential event at the McCombs School of Business offers you the opportunity to meet many of our future female business leaders currently enrolled in the Texas MBA program, attend a class, meet faculty, and share alumni experiences. Additionally, you will gain knowledge about the admissions process, discover career opportunities, grasp the global experience, and picture yourself as a Texas MBA. Forté Foundation
McCombs is a founding member of the Forté Foundation—a national non-profit organization designed to substantially increase the number of women business owners and business leaders. We have joined other educational institutions, businesses, and non-profit groups to build awareness of business education among young women, to increase the number of women entering business, and to support the careers of women through business networks. McCombs participates in Forte Forum events throughout the fall as well as the annual Forte MBA Women’s Conference each summer. Forte Fellowships
Each fall, McCombs awards select incoming MBA candidates with Forte Fellowship awards. Candidates exhibit exemplary leadership in one or more ways: academic leadership; team leadership; community leadership; creative leadership and demonstrate their commitment to the women’s initiatives. Aside from the financial benefits, Forte Fellows receive additional leadership and networking opportunities within the Forte community.
