Jump Start is an innovative, long-term strategy to increase diversity in management, offered by six world-class companies and the nationally ranked Texas MBA program at The University of Texas at Austin.

The program targets undergraduate seniors who are academically qualified for a top-ranked MBA program, but lack the required work experience. Companies agree to provide the experience by hiring the students for three years, and the McCombs School offers candidates deferred admission to the MBA program, contingent upon the completion of their job commitment. Jump Start positions are offered by BMC Software, Inc., Deloitte Consulting LLP, Frito-Lay North America, AT&T, TXU Corp., and Wells Fargo & Co.
