Alumni Involvement Around the World

International Business
In March, more than 250 McCombs MBA students set out for seven different countries as part of the Plus Global Study Tours. Through these tours, our students immersed themselves in different cultures while they worked on group projects, met with local businesses and governments, and explored the landscape. Excited for the opportunity to interact with fellow McCombs MBAs, our alumni participated in six receptions around the globe: Mumbai, India; Shanghai and Beijing, China; Russia; Santiago, Chile; and Sao Paulo, Brazil. Dean Gau made a special appearance at the reception in Shanghai.

Destination...Frankfurt
Each year, our German alumni and representatives from McCombs meet in a different German city for a weekend of chapter updates, school news, and social activities. This year from July 2-4, they'll meet in Frankfurt. The group, including Dean George Gau, will kick off the weekend with a Tex-Mex dinner and hear from a special guest speaker at the chapter meeting, in addition to sightseeing Frankfurt. Always a good time, the annual meeting draws up to 50 alumni from Germany and surrounding countries.

Alumni Interviews: Making Our Presence Known
In our first year of mandatory, invitation-only interviews, we expect to interview more than 1,000 prospective applicants. We could not have accomplished this without the dedication and participation of our alumni from around the world. This year, we have conducted interviews in 35 different states and 28 different countries.
