Welcome to Exchange

Dear MBA Alumni,

Welcome to the latest edition of McCombs Exchange. I wanted to write this introductory letter to share with you my gratitude for all you do.

One of the greatest pleasures of my job as Associate Dean for Graduate Programs is the rich and continuous interaction with our distinguished graduates. I get to reconnect with many alumni I knew as students and meet others I haven’t had the privilege of knowing from my own classes here. Apart from the events that bring students back to campus, regional alumni chapters offer an exciting array of professional, social and networking opportunities, at which I am able to meet with some of the best business minds of our generation.

I’ve had the privilege of socializing over the past few years with alumni chapters in cities such as Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C. While the specific events are wonderfully varied, one thing is consistent: the people are always very special. Some are students I remember from classes as formidable intellects; some are student leaders whose commitment to the MBA program has had a palpable impact on the strength of the McCombs MBA today. All are experienced business leaders whose company enriches what I do, both as an administrator and as a professor.

Thank you for providing me with the chance to continue to learn and grow at an institution that I love dearly. I look forward to meeting many more of you this coming year and beyond.

Sincerely,

Steve Salbu
