Welcome to Exchange
Dear MBA Alumni,
Greetings and welcome to the third edition of McCombs Exchange. This
year marks the 10th anniversary of the McCombs MBA Alumni Network.
Elissa Ellis and Tina Mabley (former directors of MBA Alumni
Relations) worked with many of you to create and develop a strong
alumni network foundation, and I look forward to partnering with you
to take the MMA Network to the next level. As an MBA ’03, I am
delighted to be the new director of MBA Alumni Relations.
Prior to my current role, I worked at Dell on the Product Group
marketing team for OptiPlex and Precision.
I also co-chaired the McCombs MBAs at Dell group. Establishing a
corporate alumni group was a great way to build a smaller community
within a greater organization. For tips on how to start a McCombs MBA alumni group at your company, see page 10.
As a McCombs graduate, there are a number of resources available to
you. By leveraging the alumni database, chapter activities, advisory
board and advisory board committees, you both enhance your degree
and continue to receive value from your McCombs MBA. To take
advantage of McCombs’ many opportunities:
Stay current. As a member of the alumni community, you can
strengthen and build the network by keeping your information current
in the alumni database. Visit

the school is up-to-date.
Get involved. Whether you attend your local chapter events or help
us recruit and interview top applicants to the MBA program, your
connection is strengthened each time you get involved with the
network. There are also opportunities for your company to partner
with McCombs. See page 14 for a menu of ways your company can get
involved.
Keep us informed. Share your wonderful news with us! If you or
someone you know has started a new job with the help of a McCombs
alum or the McCombs Job Board (see page 4), we want to hear about
it. If you know an outstanding alum, someone who has received a
promotion or contributed to the community in an exceptional

1996 by McCombs MBA students and alumni. All graduates of a McCombs
