Welcome to the New York City MMA Network Chapter!

The weather in New York has cooled off, but the New York City chapter members are not letting chilly temperatures slow them down. The chapter continues to grow in attendance and strives to provide the best networking, social and educational events for its members.

In the New York City area, there are more than 500 McCombs MBAs. Our chapter is filled with fabulous members working in many different professional areas, such as premier investment banks, hedge funds, brand retailers and real estate development companies.

The events this year have been a huge success. In 2006, the NYC chapter established a formal board, which has been pivotal in generating new ideas for events and instrumental in helping the events get planned and executed. We’ve had great turnouts at our networking events, including faculty speaker events, multiple after-work gatherings and the class of 2006 Welcoming Party. And of course, many of us show up at the local pub in our burnt orange to cheer on the Longhorn football team.

Going forward, we’re focused on reaching out to alumni to increase the number of active members in our chapter, enhancing our faculty/industry leader speaker series and coordinating with McCombs finance and marketing organizations.

Furthermore, since the McCombs School is now a member of the New York Business School Club (NYBSC), which is comprised of 30 other top business schools, we intend to make sure that the McCombs School has a stronger presence in the New York City area by attending NYBSC monthly meetings and co-sponsoring events with other leading NYC MBA alumni chapters.

A great big thanks goes out to all alumni who are actively involved in making sure the NYC chapter is a success.
