McCombs Alumni Admissions Network
(MAAN)
Admissions Volunteer:
Admissions Volunteers conduct interviews with prospective students and are available as a local resource to answer questions about the program and the school. Incoming students can search the MAAN Gallery, a database of Alumni Volunteers with a bio and
e-mail contact. If you are interested in becoming an Admissions Volunteer, please follow these steps:
- Update your contact information in the online database. You will need your UT EID and password. If you do not remember them, click here for additional assistance: www.utexas.edu/eid.
- Under 'Involvement Information,' select ‘Yes’ for Admissions Volunteer.
The Admissions Office will contact you with further information about the program. Additional questions can be directed to
Interview@mccombs.utexas.edu.

Frequently Asked Questions for Alumni Interviewers
Alumni Admissions Referral:
The referral form is an informal letter of recommendation
(does not replace either of the 2 required letters of
recommendation). Alumni can submit alumni referrals for
co-workers, family, and friends who will be applying for the
upcoming application cycle.
Review
the current admissions profile and submit an
Alumni
Referral Form to be included in their application file.
If you meet informally with an applicant (without conducting a formal interview) and would like to provide feedback, the referral form is the tool to use. Please time your referral submission as close to the application submission as possible to ensure it is in the file when it's reviewed.
Local Alumni Admissions Representatives:
Each major city will have a Local Alumni Admissions
Representative who will serve as a primary point of contact for the
admissions office and the alumni volunteers in that area. Local reps assist
with questions, attend local recruiting events, and organize the annual
spring calling campaign.
If you are interested in being the Representative for your area, please e-mail the McCombs MBA Alumni Network.
Recruiting Forums:
Attend Recruiting Forums in your area and help promote the program. Forums are held between October and January. Check the
Admissions Recruiting Calendar
for the Forum in your area. E-mail
Jessica Quance if you are interested in volunteering.
Receptions:
Network with prospective and incoming students from your area at your local Winter and Summer Receptions. Check the MMA Network Calendar
for the schedule.
Always remember to keep your contact info up-to-date, so you can stay abreast of admission activity in your area.
