The Honor System
As MBA students, you are embarking on one of the most
exciting and challenging two years of your lives. One
particularly rewarding and challenging aspect is the
reinforcement of your own sense of personal integrity and
honor.
The current McCombs School Honor System articulates the
baseline of acceptable conduct in the MBA Program. Please
read it carefully.
The graduate curriculum is extremely demanding; it requires
one not only to be efficient, but also to be highly
resourceful in order to excel. Furthermore, we recognize
that life as a student at McCombs is fast-paced and often
confusing. The Honor System, therefore, should serve not
only as a document from which you can draw guidance, but
also as an unequivocal statement of what is and is not
acceptable behavior.
Additionally, since this is a value-adding aspect of your
education, corporate recruiters will recognize the
importance we place on individual integrity. This is one
reason for the increasing demand for, and greater respect
accorded to, graduates of The McCombs School of Business.
The Honor System, however, is only a piece of paper until
you apply your personal integrity and assume responsibility
for the ethical climate of the MBA Program.
