General Information about MBA/Dual Degrees
Application for Admission to the Dual Degree Program
A student seeking admission to a Dual Degree Program must apply through the Graduate and International Admissions Center. He or she must be accepted by each individual program in order to be admitted to the joint program. To enter the MBA/JD program, the student must apply for admission both to the Graduate and International Admissions Center and to the School of Law. A minimum of two years of full-time work experience is required to enter any of the Dual Degree Programs.
Students already enrolled in a University of Texas at Austin graduate program who wish to apply to an MBA/Dual Degree Program must submit:
- The UT Application to Another Graduate Major
- Supplemental McCombs School of Business MBA application materials.
Currently enrolled applicants to an MBA/Dual Degree Program should contact the MBA Program Office at (512) 475-6015 to determine what specific application materials are required.
In all Dual Degree Programs, students begin their first year of study in the non-business side of the Dual Degree Program.
To apply to a Dual Degree Program, visit the How to Apply page of the MBA admissions web site. All items in the application check list are required for Dual Degree applicants. In addition, please contact the non-business side of the program to determine any additional supplemental requirements.
