MBA/Master of Arts in Public Affairs
The MBA/Master of Public Affairs program prepares students to respond to the growing interrelationships between the public and private sectors by providing a combination of policy-related skills and one or more business administration specializations. The dual degree program trains qualified students in a coordinated program of coursework in public affairs and an advanced business field.
Students spend their first year in the program taking public affairs courses and the second year taking graduate business courses. The third year is a combination of both disciplines.
Degree Requirements
Students must complete a minimum of 79 credit hours of course work:
- 28 hours of MBA core courses
- 18 hours of business electives
- 30 hours of required courses in public affairs (includes internship and professional report)
- 3 hours graduate electives in public affairs
The summer internship is with a government agency or a publicly oriented organization.
The Dual Degree code for this program is 6 84602 and should be referred to when applying to the program. Please note that a minimum of two years of full-time work experience is required for admission to the MBA program.
