MBA/Master of Arts in Nursing

The MBA/Master of Science in Nursing program prepares students with an undergraduate degree in nursing for advanced nursing practice and research while providing the management and financial skills required of executives in today's changing health care systems.

Students spend their first year in the program taking nursing courses and the second year taking graduate business courses. The third year is a combination of both disciplines.

Degree Requirements

Students must complete a minimum of 82 credit hours of course work:

  • 28 hours of MBA core courses
  • 18 hours of Business electives
  • 30 hours of Nursing/Nursing Administration core courses
  • 6 hours of approved Nursing electives or electives in other approved disciplines

The Dual Degree code for this program is 6 71800 and should be referenced when applying to the program. Please note that a minimum of two years of full-time work experience is required for admission to the MBA program.
