Concentration in Marketing

Marketing is an essential part of any organization. It addresses the design and implementation of programs that create, build and sustain value for a firm’s customers and captures a portion of that value for the firm. Recognized as one of the top ten graduate marketing programs in the country (U.S. News & World Report 2009), this is a popular area of study at McCombs. Approximately 20 percent of Texas MBA graduates choose a career in marketing. McCombs offers four focused areas of concentration in marketing:

  • Graduate Marketing Network: Flagship marketing student organization providing you with the tools and resources to connect you to your marketing interests.
  • "Hot Seat" Marketing Challenge: Annual one-night case competition challenging you to apply classroom frameworks to a real-world situation and present your findings and recommendations to a panel of judges comprised of marketing professionals.
