Entrepreneur Society
MISSION STATEMENT
The Entrepreneur Society is a student organization made up of students and alumni from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas. The goal of the organization is to use its network and guidance to equip students with the leadership skills to successfully manage a business or business unit. Through access to expert faculty, successful entrepreneurs, venture capital sources, and interactive events, students are exposed to the cross-functional skills necessary to become a value creator in an organization, including analytical thinking, problem solving, and the development and launch of new products.
Annual Events
- The Launch (boat tour of Town Lake)
- The Pitch Party (90 second pitches to McCombs and Austin luminaries)
- ES Connections (spring career fair focused on local/start-up firms
- Venture Weekend (spending a weekend creating a company from scratch)
