CleanTech Group (previously Energy Technology Group)
MISSION STATEMENT
The McCombs CleanTech Group is an MBA student organization whose mission is to promote an economically viable, sustainable, and “intelligent-energy” future, through the support of market and technology innovations in energy efficiency, sustainable development, renewable energy, and emissions abatement. We hope to achieve this goal by:
- Serving as a hub for networking and information exchange by connecting students with the businesses, investors, and industry experts who are driving these innovations.
- Supporting our members' professional development by providing access to events and opportunities in this rapidly developing sector of the economy.
The scope of our interest includes (but is not limited to) firms involved in:
- Renewable energy and energy efficiency
- Efficient transportation logistics, fuels, and vehicle design
- Water, wastewater treatment, and conservation technologies
- Applied materials and manufacturing technologies that reduce inputs, pollution and waste.
- Industrial Ecology (closed-loop processes where one firm’s waste becomes another’s inputs)
- Recycling and waste management technologies
- Air and environmental cleanup, emissions abatement, and safety technologies
