Graduate Women in Business (GWIB)
MISSION STATEMENT
Graduate Women in Business (GWIB) strives to provide an atmosphere conducive to the professional and personal development of its members.
Our objectives include the following:
- Improve the visibility of women in the McCombs School of Business
- ffer career development resources to our members
- Provide networking events for our members to enhance the skills they need to remain competitive in the marketplace
- Act as an informational resource for incoming and prospective McCombs students
- Assist organizations serving women in our community
- Connect our members to the National Association of Women MBAs (NAWMBA)
- Promote a spirit of camaraderie among our members and women in the business community in a variety of social settings and events.

Professional Events:- Programmatic Goals for 2008-2009:
- Networking/social events with corporate sponsors and alumni
- Sponsoring Speaker Series at McCombs featuring executive level females
- Up-close dinners and luncheons with corporate sponsors, professors, and professional women in the community
- Focus on recruiting opportunities for women MBAs
- First-year/Second-year and MBA/BBA mentorship program
